Title of Project: 3D Printing Business

Abstract of Project

To bridge the gap between engineering design and actual manufacturing, this project will

include starting a 3D Printing and Modeling service for individuals and businesses. This will help to develop another income stream, product development skills, tolerances experience, 3D Printing, and 3D modeling skills. Sub-goals will include learning about taxes/budgeting, helping local businesses, and gaining entrepreneurship skills.

Larger Purpose

The overall vision is to become better suited than other candidates in the field while still getting income from that experience.

Project Goal

To start a 3D Printing business and apply its services to several local companies at no charge. This will teach the importance of 3D Printing and also get a brand image started.

Outcomes

1. Gain Technical skills

2. Providing service to local businesses

3. Generating an extra income stream

Deliverables:

Documentation of Accountant quotes, budgets, 3D-Printed products, pictures of

service, business website, Linkedin section/update, files of 3D models, Research and

development sketches, How-to Youtube channel of the process.

Differentiation

This project will allow me to stand out on the project management side of

Engineering. I would also love to work in Product Development and inventing my own products will give me some exposure in that area.
